What is splitting of links?

Post by angelacobb on Fri Nov 05, 2010 1:33 am

I read in an article that one should avoid splitting of links.
Links that come from outside shall have same url as internal links of the same landing page.
What does that mean?
I am quite confused

The splitting of the links should be avoided as it should point to the URL. Otherwise, it leads to the failure of the pages of the website. We should always try to make the links as the same URL is much more hitter grade and quality.

This means that links that point to the same URI more than others in the name of the index page and others to root. It does not redirect visitors to the proper location which they are looking for and mostly it leads to some error pages.

The importance of creating the perfect link which will not allow the splitting of the link with the another link, but if a page has to many links coming from it, So it can splitting available "link juice" too much and may not be worth the trouble. This tends to happen a lot with forums, commenting on blogs, and directories.

The links splitting should be avoided as it should point to the Url only. Otherwise it leads to non-performance of the pages in the website. We should always try to do links as the same url it is much better for the ranking and quality.

I agree with PearAnalytics. Avoid this fault it split the travel to your website. 301 redirect can help in this. But on can stay away from this state by keep the backlinking to one url. earnings when you are doing backlinking process try to maintain this for one url.

Fractionation of links should be avoided as it should point to the URL. Otherwise, it leads to non-execution of the pages. We should always try to make connections that the same URL, it is much better for the grade and quality.

Link-splitting can happen when you have two different versions of the same webpage (like http://www.example.com and http://example.com), which is known as having duplicate content.
